I signed up as a student for PD now I need to be a teacher, how do I convert my account?

This is a really common problem, and the main driving force for implementing the 'Student Mode' function in Verso, if you haven't seen it check out how you can participate in Verso as a student from your teacher account here - https://versoapp.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/206871463-Can-I-use-my-Teacher-account-to-participate-in-Activities-as-a-student-

For now however there is no way for us to convert a student account into a teacher account. You will essentially need to drop your old account and start over. To free up your email address so you can create a new teacher account, you can take the following steps:

If you have signed up with Google / Office 365:

  1. Login to your student account and head to the profile page (avatar image at the bottom of the left hand sidebar menu)
  2. Click the 'Set Password' button and add a password to the account
  3. Remove your email address, and replace it with a username (anything will do, as long as it's not their email address)
  4. At the bottom of the page click the 'Disconnect Google Account' or the 'Disconnect Microsoft Account' button
  5. Click 'Save' in the top right hand corner


If you signed up using an email address:

  1. Login to you student account and head to the profile page (avatar image at the bottom of the left hand sidebar menu)
  2. Remove your email address, and replace it with a username (anything will do, as long as it's not their email address)
  3. Click 'Save' in the top right hand corner
